Design your system effectively and integrally with system engineering
System architecture provides insight into the integral coherence of a system. During this course you will learn to apply the right techniques and tools to continue to monitor the integrality of the system during all phases of the project.
The success of a system appears to depend time and again on the proper securing of the connection between organizational goals, system use, functionalities and system concepts. Projects are still too often organized by discipline. The challenge is to have people from their individual disciplines work together on an integral design.
After completing the course, you will be able to design your system effectively and integrally by understanding the coherence between requirements, scope delineation, functions, architecture, interfaces and technical budget management. You will receive tools to safeguard the quality of the system across disciplinary boundaries and to deliver what customers and users require.
The backbone of Systems Engineering
During this course you will gain insight into:
- The use and need for systems architecture, plus a brief overview of Systems Engineering (SE)
- Architecture Frameworks
- Capturing business goals, system mission, system definition and demarcation
- Analysis techniques for behavior and scenario modeling and modeling techniques for system functions
- Design concepts, interface management and management of technical budgets (including RAMS)
- Integrated design and system architecture during phases
- Relationship with model based systems engineering and BIM
Intended for
This approach is important for both the client (during the alternatives study, the plan development phase and delivery) and the contractor (from tender to realisation or management).
