During this course you will learn to apply reliability, risk and safety assessment methods in engineering projects. You will learn to apply probabilistic calculations, statistical analysis and maintenance strategies, which enables you to make better decisions based on risk analysis and benefits.
Methods of reliability, risk and safety assessment are increasingly gaining importance as decision support tools in various fields of engineering. In order to utilize these methods and to exploit their potential in industrial applications, a deep understanding of the fundamental principles is necessary.
After following this course you will be able to master the methods of reliability, risk and safety assessment for engineering projects. Furthermore, you can offer clients new services in the perspective of benefit and risk informed decision support.
This course will be taught in English by International lecturers from Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Italy and Australia who are masters on this topic.
After following this course you will be able to:
Engineers involved in probabilistic structural analysis, design and reliability assessment, as well as engineering supervisors and managers will benefit from this course. The course is also mentioned for PhD students and academics working in the field of structural risk assessment. Participants are expected to have basic knowledge on basic probability theory, statistics, linear algebra and elementary structural analysis (static/dynamic).
This course will be taught in English.
The course will be co-organised by the Joint Committee on Structural Safety (JCSS) Joint Committee on Structural Safety (JCSS).
Register before December 31, 2024 to take advantage of the Early Bird prize of €2,700 (in stead of €3.000)!
A reduced rate applies to PhD students. When registering, please note in the ‘comments’ that you are a PhD student.

Then an in-company course could be interesting. We are happy to think along with you about the possibilities. PAOTM has extensive experience in organizing in-company courses in many technical fields for a wide range of companies. You can choose to have an existing course organized in-company for multiple employees. However, if you have a specific organizational or departmental issue, we can also design a unique course. For every customized request, we search our network at universities, knowledge institutes and the business community for the right teachers who can provide your team with the desired knowledge. We then put together a course based on your training needs, learning needs and organizational goals.
