In this course most of the water-intensive industrial processes will be covered those necessitate a specific water quality input. After usage in the industry the water undergoes a change in quality and often requires treatment before it can be recycled, reused, or disposed of. In addition, the used water may also contain valuable resources that merit recovery.
Water is a vital resource in many production industries, serving as a means to transport raw materials, acting as a reaction medium, functioning as a cooling agent, feeding to steam production, and serving as an ingredient for various products.
In this course most of the water-intensive industrial processes will be covered those necessitate a specific water quality input. After usage in the industry the water undergoes a change in quality and often requires treatment before it can be recycled, reused, or disposed of. In addition, the used water may also contain valuable resources that merit recovery.
The second half of the course will cover the water treatment technologies those aim to eliminate undesired components, to recover valuable compounds, and to condition the water for reuse in specific processes. Furthermore, the course will cover the categorization of the compounds based on their appearance: dissolved, colloidal, suspended and particulate, and the treatment technologies those can be classified according to their ability to address these various compounds.
After the course you will be able to:
• Characterize water intensive-industries
• Define the main water-intensive processes
• Describe the relevant characteristics of process feed water and effluents
• Identify technologies for industrial water streams
• Identify opportunities for recovery and reuse
Engineers with a basic knowledge on water processes in the production industry
“Water technologists must have a better understanding of industrial production processes in order to work with process technologists to reduce the water consumption and the emissions of harmful substances.”

Are several employees interested in the same course, do you want to enrich knowledge with the entire team or focus on your own practice? Then an in-company course could be interesting. We are happy to think along with you about the possibilities. PAOTM has extensive experience in organizing in-company courses in many technical fields for a wide range of companies. You can choose to have an existing course organized in-company for multiple employees. However, if you have a specific organizational or departmental issue, we can also design a unique course. For every customized request, we search our network at universities, knowledge institutes and the business community for the right teachers who can provide your team with the desired knowledge. We then put together a course based on your training needs, learning needs and organizational goals.
Curious about the possibilities? Contact one of our program managers or complete the form below. We are happy to make you a suitable offer.
